I’m Estela Romanos, the maker of felt bird plushies and owl snugglies and everything else that is Stelabird. I’m currently living in Stillwater, Oklahoma with my musician boyfriend while I finish my final year at Oklahoma State University.

I began making my birds in the spring of 2007 to keep from studying for finals. I had a blast and got a great response. I chose birds because of my childhood nickname and because I love what birds represent: freedom and flight.

I enjoy cute and quirky. I’m very nature inspired. I want a puppy but I’m allergic to many. I’m 23 and still very much a child. I burn everything I bake. I like to water plants. I fly in most of my dreams and it tickles my stomach.
